Tennis...love the game...gone are the days of Chris Evertloyd, Martina Navratilova, Edberg, Ivan Lendl, Michael Chang *hez another love story altogether..tsk tsk*, Steffi Graf, but now...Hewitt, Henin, the William sistas, Srichapan...still love the game. I find it hard to believe myself that I have, after all these years *6 years to be exact*, started playing this game again. It all started with my fellow colleagues being interested and getting to action....played with them last Wednesday. It was a love affair all over. I am glad to have started playing coz tennis looks like the only 'exercise' regime I have taken to. Hate jogging...gives me aches all over and the way my heart pumps so hard I could feel all of my chest thumping and totally incapicitates my speech. Feels like a regiment of the highest order. No wonder I always feel sick when asked to go for a jog or to trek thru the hills of Bukit Timah (gotta admit was good sometimes, minus the pressure to perform trekking the inside of the hill). Tennis - no longer an excrutiating attempt for me. Had a good work out on a hot Saturday afternoon on a rather cracked-up court near Boon Lay *gee, who would have thot there would be TENNIS courts there??!*. Thanks honey for playing with me and bearing with the sunlight in your face. :) I should be the one in the sunlight huh?! Anyway, I am looking forward to play and improve this game twice a week...Wednesdays and Saturdays...here I come!
